Relativistic Transformation of the Canonical Distribution Function in Relativistic Statistical Mechanics
G. Parga, and B. Lopez-carrera. Abstract Book of the XXIII IUPAP International Conference on Statistical Physics, Genova, Italy, (9-13 July 2007)
Abstract
We deduce a relativistic transformation of the canonical distribution function from basic principles; that is, from relativistic canonical transformations of dynamical variables. The thermodynamics which is obtained from such a distribution coincides with the recent proposal done by Ares de Parga et al of a renormalized thermodynamics (G. Ares de Parga, B. L贸pez-Carrera and F. Angulo-Brown, J. Phys. A: Math and Gen., 38 (2005) 2821-2834). The quantum case and the covariance of the theory are analyzed.
