Abstract

Acacia species mainly grown for development of greenery, wood Gum and some other medicinal purposes. Particularly arid environment is often Acacia species show poor germination and low seedling establishment information on seed biology and germination behavior and dormancy pattern of these valuable Acacia species is lacking we investigate the germination of three deferent Acacia species (Acacia tortilis (forsk). HayneAcacia senegal (L) and Acacia leucophloea (Roxb) Willd required for in N2fixation and rehabitation of arid and semi arid areas. One year old seeds were used for laboratory testing at times fail to germinate properly. This failure may be due to the state of seed dormancy, different treatment were applied in order to find the best treatment for enhancing the germination percentage of Acacia species
