It is saved as a very large number of points that cover a sensed object's surfaces. 3D point clouds have drawn more and more attention as a novel way to depict objects in recent years. In this paper, a brief introduction to point clouds is given. The study provides a discussion of point clouds, point cloud data collecting, processing, and applications.
