Inclusive and sustainable British Columbia: A mission-oriented approach to a renewed economy
M. Mazzucato. IIPP Policy Report, 2022/01. UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP), London, (March 2022)
Abstract
This new report finds that British Columbia is facing a set of enormous challenges: the need to recover from a health pandemic and an active climate crisis, while also achieving higher productivity, investment and equitable growth. The author, IIPP Director and economist Professor Mariana Mazzucato, provides recommendations within the report highlighting how British Columbia can achieve economic targets while also tackling social inequalities and creating a sustainable economy by embracing a problem-oriented, cross-sectoral economic strategy.
