A complete invariant description for gray-level images by the harmonic
analysis approach

Abstract
The generalized Fourier Transform on a given group is applied to invariant
feature extraction in the case of a gray-level image. Thus, a new
complete and convergent set of invariant features under planar similarities
is proposed using the Analytical Fourier-Mellin Transform (AFMT).
So, this set gives a distance between the shapes which is invariant
under similarities.
