Analysis of Specific Cognitive Ability Characteristics of Man Curling Skip Athletes in Heilongjiang Province Team

Abstract
To understand the specific cognitive abilities of Chinese men’s curling skip athletes, we use three methods: expert interview, psychological measurement, mathematical statistic. We take sixteen men’s curling athletes in Heilongjiang province as the research subjects to do some systematic research on the skip athletes especially. The analysis result indicates that the differences are significant between the skip athlete and the lead athlete on the stability of the wrist, the time perception, the space location memory span and the movement memory index, the differences are significant between the skip athlete and the second athlete on the stability of the wrist, the time perception and the concentration index. In the six cognitive ability indicators, the skip athlete while the third athlete have no difference on the space memory span while the differences of the other five indicators are significant.
