Аннотация
The development of platforms for Earth Observation (EO) data analyses is increasing as the volume of EO data continues to grow. National and international organizations need to provide their users with a platform with data access to multi-source EO data as well as computational resources. In addition to storage and computational resources, user-friendly tools and web services must be provided to allow users to easily explore the data available on the platform and perform data processing and analysis at scale. This paper describes the challenges and architectural choices of the German Aerospace Center's platform `terrabyte` and provides recommendations for data and platform providers.
