Stable Hartree-Fock solutions consisting of parallel arrays of line
defects in the antiferromagnetic order are found in the large-U Hubbard
model, in two dimension near to half-filling. The excess holes are
bound by a gain in kinetic energy of order t to form charged-soliton
lines. There is a close parallel to one dimension. Quantum fluctuations
are not treated but are expected to be important.
