Many people who have to deal with data are already familiar with Google Refine (GR), especially when it comes to cleansing the data and reconciling it with Freebase. At Zemanta we believe GR is must have tool for this purpose. As a partner in LOD2 project we decided to take GR a step further by making LOD a first-class citizen in this powerful, yet easy to use tool. In this session participants can witness the magic of LODGrefine - freely available LOD-enabled version of GR. We will also reveal our plans on leveraging crowd intelligence for improving the quality of linked data by integrating Amazon Mechanical Turk into GR.
Participants will be able to see two live demonstration what LODGrefine can do for them and their (not yet linked) data: - Demo #1 - Pimp my data under 10 minutes: A showcase how to convert data from a website (e.g.: top 100 books) into a linked dataset under 10 minutes. - Demo #2 - Yes, we C(K)AN: Converting one of the CKAN Open Data datasets into a LOD dataset.
