In particular, the problem of partially shared models with associated semantics is addressed, and an architectural solution to enable flexible modes of partial application synchronization under the constraint of retaining a common semantics in the shared model parts is presented. The synchronization functions of the Cool Modes system, which is built on this architecture, are discussed.
