An assistant professor at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, discussed the economics of digital libraries at the 1998 Economics of Information in the Networked Environment Conference. Results of research were analyzed to examine the various perspectives of using digital libraries. Examples of market niches and business opportunities were also given.
