This grammar of Proto-Germanic is designed to provide a comprehensive but concise treatment of the language from approximately 2500 B.C. to the beginning of our era. Chapters address phonology, inflectional morphology, derivational morphology, syntax, semantics and culture. Glossed texts are included for the languages Gothic, Old English, Old Saxon, Old High German, and Old Norse/Icelandic
