It also includes contributions made by particular Parliamentary Librarians, the early years of the Alexander Turnbull Library, and the newspaper, New Zealand and international documents collections which over the years became national resources. The history of the Parliamentary Library (for much of its life the General Assembly Library) reveals the significant role it played in library developments in this country.
