More and more natural products are being investigated to isolate and characterize the bioactive small molecules. Therefore, the current research work was undertaken to isolate and characterize bioactive compounds from leaf part of Sambucus wightiana. Various hyphenated spectral techniques such as Uv-Vis, NMR, FT-IR and MS were undertaken to investigate identity of isolated compound. The study results isolation of Dotriacontanoic acid, an important molecule that possesses fabulous medicinal properties like antioxidant, antibacterial and antioxidant.
