Strabismus divergens is over 3 times more frequent than in normally developed children. Strabismus in C.P. is more or less independent of the stage of refraction. There is no connection between the different types of C.P. and the various forms of strabismus. 6\% of the cerebral paretic children showed gaze palsy combined with nystagmus on attempting to look down.
