Abstract

We first extend to the ω − case the treatment of the finite width and inelastic effects that we had proposed previously for the case; this leads to a complex and energy-dependent mixing formalism; applications are given for Full-size image sizeImgLink sizeImgBox . We then consider the possible existence of ideal nonets of higher vector mesons V′ and V″ and calculate their effects in the same reactions. Finally we show how an infinite series of vector mesons can give ann approximate constancy of the total cross section at intermediate energies and after a strong mixing, an asymptotic 1/ s behaviour.
