Abstract

In this paper, we have investigated a planar antenna with rectangular patch for UWB applications. The proposed antenna is supposed to cover the entire UWB range (i.e., 3.1GHz to 10.6GHz) except the frequency bands of 4.5-4.8GHz (Super extended C-band) and 8GHz of ITU (International Telecommunication Union). This antenna proposed to antenna consists of a rectangular patch and a partial ground plane. The operational bandwidth of the designed antenna is from 3.1GHz to 10.6 GHz covering the entire UWB range. The details of the proposed antenna design and simulated results are presented and discussed
