Automatic Negotiation on Software Development Tasks

Abstract
In the recent past the electronic commerce sector has been
growing considerably. Electronic negotiations have been
established in virtual marketplaces. On the one hand, you get
more offers and variety, but on the other hand, you might be led
astray while trying to find the best offers or while negotiating
to get suitable conditions. The aim of the current work is the
conception and realization of an automatic agent that has the
capability to negotiate in a way that is related to your
interest. The major goal of the agent is to gain a contract for
the object that brings maximal utility to you according to the
negotiated conditions. The level of human interaction should be
configurable (from no automation up to full automation). After a
general approach is discussed, a concrete implementation is
presented, based on the negotiation scenario VMSDT (Virtual
Marketplace for Software Development Tasks).
