Abstract
In today's information society knowledge is distributed among a wide range of repository types. In particular the manifold online repositories and Web 2.0 services extended the variety of storage possibilities during the last years. However, many areas of computer supported cooperative work (CSCW) require exactly the integration of heterogeneous repositories. This paper deals with the challenge of flexible repository integration within the scope of medical research. Based on the Pipes and Filter architecture pattern, and inspired by Yahoo! Pipes, a solution to integrate repositories in a more dynamic and flexible way will be presented. Following, we introduce WasabiPipes, our concept along with a suitable graphical user interface to administrate multiple repositories.
