A Large Scale Field Experiment of Ethylene Hazards

Abstract
Four kinds of field experiments simulating the ethylene hazards in
petro-chemical industries were simulated: the evaporation of 392kg
of liquid ethylene rapidly dropped on the ground in a dyke; the pool
burning of liquid ethylene; firing of the double wall cold reservoir
of ethylene from the bottom by propane jet flame and kerosene fire;
and initialtion of ethylene detonation.
