This paper considers the impacts and trends of ICTs on the banking industry of the 21st century. Four (4) parameters, namely: productivity, market structure, Innovation and value chain were used for benchmarking. Case studies of the IT platform employed by two Nigerian banks were included to for a more informed inference.
