Zusammenfassung
The report deals with the investigation of a combined stress of the overhead electric lines by icing
and wind
The authors present a method of the measurement of icing at ice measuring stands over the territory
of Czechoslovakia and give reasons for the unsufficient respect of individual climatic factors when designing
and mounting the overhead electric lines. Basing themselves on the observations carried out at chosen
stands during several years, they point out that, in several fields, the rules for designing the overhead
electric lines should also imply assumptions which would fully respect the simultaneous action of icing
and wind.
The report also includes the examination of the existing HV transmission towers with regard to their
combined stress, and the demarcation of security and reliability zones.
