Abstract
In this series focus on managing information technology investments to produce measured business value. Business value indicators include financial metrics such as return on investment, operational metrics such as inventory returns, and productivity metrics such as reduced time to complete tasks. Information technology investments include network and server infrastructure, business systems, engineering systems, and personal productivity systems. Business value can be obtained when mature technologies are deployed thoughtfully and also when new technology emerge that provide new capabilities.
