Zusammenfassung
This report presents a planned new line of reduced
size, and reviews the research work performed
to provide the rationale for the insulation gaps selected.
The stresses taken into account are: switching
overvoltage, lightning overvoltage, wind and ice, and
the electrodynamic forces of short-circuit current.
The influence of the new size on corona (radio interference,
corona losses, audible noise) and on the
electric and magnetic fields generated in the vicinity
of the line is also reviewed.
This performance is compared with the performance
of lines mounted on Beaubourg-type or Anjoutype
towers.
Finally, the stresses caused by the new reduced
size in terms of maintenance work, in particular
hot-line work or work next to voltage, are reviewed.
