Abstract
The article relates the achievements of the "Journal of Health Communication: International Perspectives," which the author had spearheaded as editor since its inception in 1996. The pursuit of the author to advance the scientific and humanistic evidence base in the field of health communication had triggered the foundation of the journal. According to the author, the journal has been the top choice by public health and governmental agencies to highlight the key research in health communication.
