Abstract

India is the second largest producer of cement in the world. It accounts for more than 8 of the global installed capacity. The pollutants commonly emitted by cement plants are dust or particulate matter, NOx, SOx, carbon oxides and methane, among others. Cement being the major contributor to air pollution, an approximate number of 4,90,000 annual deaths may be attributed to emissions from the cement industry. Cement is the need of growing infrastructure and real estate and researchers are trying for some alternative materials of cement which will not only partially replace the cement content but also improves its strength. In this research work the Rice Husk Ash RHA and steel fiber SF are used as partial replacement. The analysis has been carried out for percentage with proportions of 0 , 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 and 25 RHA by weight of cement in addition to that combined effect of adding various percentage of SF of 0.5 , 1 and 1.5 to obtain optimum result. The analytical study concluded that mix 10 RHA and 1.5 SF is the optimum combination among all mixes. Yashwantrao Vishal Sharad Sharmila | Ankita Ramchandra Bhoir | M.
