Two community hospitals run by Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent NHS Partnership Trust (SSOTP) have received praise for delivering great results for patients in key areas including cleanliness, food and provision for the disabled.

Volunteer assessors visited Haywood Hospital in Burslem and Leek Moorlands Hospital as part of the Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE) national initiative which gives the public, staff and patients the opportunity to be inspectors in a bid to drive improvements in care settings.
