I was thinking about this last night and wondered about whether or not the huge number of subscribers to this reddit with great information and opinions actually contribute to the source. I for one have only ever written one article (some of the original but also heavily improved) and only edit for grammar or add links to existing articles. I hold the knowledge of this sub very highly and even if just 1% were actually contributing and writing for wikipedia, I have no doubt it would improve the quality. What are your fears, what do you feel are the requirements, what is the standard for stepping up and saying "This is a public knowledge base, I want to write this"?
