Simply put, a trinocular microscope is one that has three eyepieces. Note that a microscope can be monocular, binocular or trinocular. The conventional microscopes are either monocular or binocular. A trinocular microscope is usually associated with big and more powerful microscopes such as a research or a stereo microscope.
