Once adaptations had been completed, the majority of participants experienced positive outcomes, including fewer falls and reclaiming their home and garden. The recommendations include the need for more positive messaging about home adaptations, including information on the benefits of adapting the home; for adaptation services to work with signposting agencies and health services to simplify the home adaptation processes; and for Central Government needs to provide better guidance on home adaptation outcome measures.
