Cochrane Clinical Answers - Fulltext - Do cardioselective beta-blockers adversely affect lung function and respiratory symptoms in people with COPD?

Description

Based on small trials, cardioselective beta-blockers did not seem to cause adverse respiratory effects in patients with COPD of a range of severities, some of whom also had indications for beta-blockers (angina, hypertension) and others who were given beta-blockers experimentally to test effects on lung function.
