Bis zu zwölf Millionen Roma leben in Europa. Oftmals werden sie diskriminiert. In vielen EU-Ländern können sie nach Einschätzung von Amnesty International nicht mal auf die Hilfe der Polizei hoffen, wenn sie Opfer von Gewalt werden.
Jeder dritte Roma im EU-Land Tschechien ist ein Analphabet. Nur wenige haben eine Ausbildung, 90 Prozent sind ohne festen Job. Die rund 300.000 Roma beginnen nun, sich gegen diese Ungerechtigkeiten zu wehren - nicht nur auf politischer Ebene, sondern auch musikalisch.
