Viele Arbeitgeber fordern von ihrem Personal Flexibilität. Das betrifft vor allem die Arbeitszeiten. Jeder vierte Beschäftigte muss inzwischen regelmäßig auch am Samstag ran. Jeder Zehnte hat Nachtschichten. Den stärksten Anstieg untypischer Arbeitszeiten registrierten die Statistiker aber an anderer Stelle.
Die Deutschen haben im ersten Quartal dieses Jahres so viel gearbeitet wie seit 20 Jahren nicht mehr - rein statistisch gesehen. Das hat eine Studie ergeben. Demnach hat sich die durchschnittliche Wochenarbeitszeit jedes einzelnen kaum verändert. Aber mehr Menschen haben einen Job.
Lange Arbeitswege, ständige Erreichbarkeit, Überstunden und Wochenendarbeit führen laut einer Studie zu mehr psychischen Erkrankungen. 40 Prozent der deutschen Arbeitnehmer sind laut den Autoren betroffen. Das Problem dürfte sich weiter verschärfen, denn Pendler legen immer weitere Wege zurück.
