David Harvey has been teaching Karl Marx’s Capital, Volume I for nearly 40 years, and his lectures are now available online for the first time. This open course consists of 13 two-hour video lectures of Professor Harvey’s reading of Capital, Volume I.

Man kann nicht rational fragen: "Was ist nützlicher: ein Bett oder ein Glas Bier?" Das Bett befriedigt das Bedürfnis nach dem Bett und das Bier das Bedürfnis nach Bier. Es gibt kein Verhältnis zw. beiden, was man darin merkt, daß es nicht drittes anderes gibt, was beide ersetzen könnte. Erneut wird in das Verhältnis des Menschen zu den nützlichen Dingen ein Sich-entscheiden-müssen aufgrund der Preise der Güter hineingeschmuggelt
