Der Gesamtkatalog der Universtität Köln (KUG) zeigt mustergültig wie die ersten Schritte in Richtung eines "OPAC Next Generation" der Bibliothek 2.0 aussehen kann. Neben RSS-Feeds bietet er auch eine Schnittstelle für den einfachen Export der Katalogdaten in den BibSonomy-Dienst an. Die Vorstellung, dass die Benutzerinnen die von der Bibliothek angeschafften Neuerscheinungen aus bestimmten Forschungsgebieten per RSS-Feed abonnieren können, muss auch die Web-Skeptiker unter den BibliothekarInnen von den Chancen der Bibliothek 2.0 überzeugen.

Beschreibung der verschiedenen Arten von Lokalisierungen generell und bei Perl im speziellen. Als Resumee wird das Modul Locale::MakeText::Lexicon der Autorin als sinnvollstes Tool empfohlen. Bei OpenBib wird es dann auch sehr erfolgreich verwendet.
