BizAgi BPM software makes modeling, executing and improving business processes easy for everyone, no matter if you are a small organization or a big corporation.
Bonita is an Open Source Business Process Management (BPM) software and Workflow software edited by the BPM company BonitaSoft. Develop process based applications easily with Bonita Open Solution.
# Proxy Abstract Services and dynamic composition: create services using abstract classes and annotations without providing any implementation.
# Annotation inheritance, create your customs annotations from the corea annotations.
# Compose your service workflows graphically using the jBPM native support.
# Implement services using Java or Ruby.
# 100% Annotation based configuration (plus .properties files for externalization).
# Can be used as a standalone container, in a web environment or integrated with other containers.
# Spring native support (Spring/Spring MVC).
# Testing support integrated within the framework using static Assert classes.
# Monitor and manage the services through JMX (status, start, stop...).
# Spring native support (Spring/Spring MVC).
# Maven plugin.
# Several embedded services are provided out of the box and ready to use.
Runa WFE is an environment for JBoss jBPM workflow engine. It is a cross-platform end user solution for business process development and execution. Together Runa WFE and JBoss jBPM provide an easy to use business process management system.
Runa WFE is an open source project.
What is this project
Runa WFE provides:
* an end user GUI to define business processes without any coding: draw flowcharts, define roles and variables, lay out forms
* an end user GUI to load and execute processes
* an administrative interface to create and remove users/groups and grant rights
* a possibility of writing automatic "bots" that can participate in business processes
* a possibility to code new GUI elements, variable types, organizational structure functions etc. that extend existing Runa WFE components and will be available to end users through the GUI
Runa WFE makes it possible to integrate your diverse enterprise applications in a unified system, by using "bots" that run inside "bot stations".
ProcessMaker is commercial open source workflow management software designed for small to medium-sized businesses and organizations. ProcessMaker allows a business user with zero programming experience to model, automate, and manage a company's unique business processes.
ProcessMaker is a complete workflow management suite with tools to design forms, create documents, assign roles and users, create routing rules, interconnect with third party systems, and map a process quickly and easily. You can manage workflow from your favorite web browser without having to download any client software at all.
We believe in no vendor lock-in and source code visibility. Thanks to open source code, ProcessMaker integrates seamlessly with your organization's existing systems. ProcessMaker's light yet powerful workflow engine is simple to use and easy to extend.
Workflow Reloaded : Moving to OSWorkflow
I have been trying to model a workflow for one of my applications. I started with Bossa, but after getting stuck using parts of its API, I was well on my way to designing my own workflow engine using Bossa's Petri Net abstraction, until a colleague pointed out that I was trying to re-invent something for which solid, mature implementations already existed in the open-source world, and that, down the road, other developers would curse me for having stuck them with having to maintain this component.
State Chart XML (SCXML) is currently a Working Draft published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). SCXML provides a generic state-machine based execution environment based on Harel State Tables. SCXML is a candidate for the control language within multiple markup languages coming out of the W3C (see Working Draft for details). Commons SCXML is an implementation aimed at creating and maintaining a Java SCXML engine capable of executing a state machine defined using a SCXML document, while abstracting out the environment interfaces.
Imhotep is a declarative process framework useful for construction of "workflow" scenarios ranging from lightweight state-event-response logic (for example, the typical process logic behind a wizard dialog), to long-running persistent and failsafe workflows.
Imhotep supports visual definition of both process and routing of work to be performed by processing agents.
Imhotep comprises process execution, work-router, and persistent timer frameworks, each of which can be used independently for a wide variety of tasks.
Zebra is a workflow engine - originally developed to fill in the gaps in some commercial and open source workflow engines. The key differences between it and other workflow systems are
* Able to model all the workflows described in workflow patterns
* An easy to use GUI designer
* Interfaced persistence layer
* OO Design
* Integration component for Turbine web applications
SWAMP is a java-based workflow engine. The workflows are defined in an XML format, with with focus on great flexibility and the possibility for quick and frequent changes.
The workflow engine is running on a central server, with a web-GUI and a SOAP interface for human interaction and for connecting it to other systems.
Intalio|Workflow is an integrated human workflow suite based on the new BPEL4People extensions and compatible with any JSR 168 portal. Because it offers an AJAX-based XForms implementation, it gives workflow participants a productive and engaging user experience, while remaining compatible with any major web browser in use today. Our workflow suite is directly powered by our process server, allowing you to develop your own workflow patterns.
