The DART-Europe partners help to provide researchers with a single European Portal for the discovery of Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs).
Die Informationsplattform open-access.net hat das Ziel, den steigenden Informationsbedarf zum Thema Open Access zu decken. Sie bündelt bislang verstreute Informationen und bereitet diese für verschiedene Zielgruppen und Szenarien spezifisch auf. Die Informationsplattform wurde um länderspezifische Inhalte für die Schweiz erweitert. Dies betrifft hauptsächlich den Bereich der Rechtsfragen rund um Open Access, aber auch andere Anpassungen, etwa die Erwähnung von Organisationen und Projekten, die Open Access in der Schweiz aktiv fördern. Zu den länderspezifischen Inhalten gelangen Sie über die Schweizer Flagge oben rechts, wobei die Inhalte in deutscher und englischer Sprache angeboten werden; für die Besucher aus Österreich werden entsprechende Inhalte in Kürze ebenfalls ergänzt.
Dieses Portal dient als Einstieg und Übersicht für die Themen Bibliothek, Information und Dokumentation – also für alle Artikel rund um die Sammlung, Ordnung und Verfügbarmachung von Wissen und Information.
Das zentrale Übersichts- und Suchportal des digitalen österreichischen Kulturerbes Umgang mit (digitalem) kulturellem Erbe ist von zentraler Bedeutung für zukünftige Strategien in der Informationsgesellschaft. Als ein wichtiger Punkt gilt dabei der übergreifende Zugang zu den digitalisierten Beständen von Museen, Bibliotheken und Archiven.Das inhaltliche Ziel des sektionsübergreifenden Projekts Kulturpool des Bundesministeriums für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur und des Bundesministeriums für Wissenschaft und Forschung ist es, ein zentrales Übersichts- und Such-Portal digitalisierter Objekte und Kataloge aller österreichischen Kulturinstitutionen zur Verfügung zu stellen. Strategisches Ziel des BMUKK ist dabei die engere Verknüpfung zwischen Kultur und Bildung sowie - der „Future Learning" Initiative folgend -das österreichische Kulturerbe mit neuen Technologien der breiten Bevölkerung zugänglich zu machen.

Es bietet umfassende Recherchemöglichkeiten und komfortablen Zugang zu verlässlichen Informationen und Volltexten aus unterschiedlichen Fächern und fungiert als Einstiegsportal für eine Vielzahl von Virtuellen Fachbibliotheken und Fachportalen. Im vascoda-Portal kann wahlweise fachspezifisch oder interdisziplinär gesucht werden. Der Einsatz moderner Suchtechnologien sowohl bei vascoda als auch bei den Partnern erlaubt eine strukturierte Suche in einer Vielzahl verschiedenster Datenbestände wie Fach- und Aufsatzdatenbanken, Bibliothekskataloge und Internetquellen. Ausführliche Sammlungsbeschreibungen bieten Orientierung über die in vascoda eingebundenen Angebote und leiten die Nutzerinnen und Nutzer auf die hochwertigen und spezialisierten Fachportale der vascoda-Partner.
