Univerisity of Indiana Dept of Computer Science and School of Informatics. This site provides access to an online database containing government documents originally publishied on CDROM. There are two interfaces, a Database interface that enables browsing the entire collection and a Search interface that allows searching for specific documents using CQL queries. Through either interface it is possible to access the original CDROM contents exported as WebDAV. These WebDAV directories can be directly "mounted" on some operating systems (OS X, Linux).
The Alabama Inventors Database includes inventors who lived in Alabama at the time they received their patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The Government Documents Department of the Birmingham Public Library compiles these records and updates the database on an ongoing basis. Each record contains a link to the Web site of the USPTO where scanned images of the original documents may be viewed using TIFF software.
