Schiedsgerichte in Freihandelsabkommen mit Kanada (CETA) und den USA (TTIP) sind angesichts des beiderseits hoch entwickelten Rechtsschutzes schon nicht notwendig und deshalb abzulehnen, weil sie in die hoheitlichen Befugnisse der Europäischen Union und Deutschlands eingreifen können.
Die französische Öffentlichkeit sieht Handelsliberalisierungen traditionell skeptisch; dennoch kamen bisher die meisten Stimmen gegen TTIP aus Deutschland, während das Handelsabkommen in Frankreich eine hohe Zustimmungsrate genoss.
