Dort besprechen die Vertreter von 22 Staaten plus der EU für ihre 28 Mitglieder einen Vertrag, der so etwas wie der unbekannte Bruder des umstrittenen EU-US-Freihandelsabkommen ist.
Mehrere Projekte so genannter „wirtschaftlicher Partnerschaftsabkommen“ (= EPA, Economic Partnership Agreement) zwischen der Europäischen Union und breiten Regionen Afrikas südlich von der Sahara werden in den kommenden Monaten den Regierungen der involvierten afrikanischen und europäischen Länder vorgelegt.
