SIGNAL TRANSMISSION OVER UNDERGROUND MEDIUM VOLTAGE CABLES

(1980)

Abstract

The interest shown in finding an economical solution to the problem of transmitting infonnation from medium voltage distribution substations to a supervisory centre, led to analysing the possibility of using the MV network itself as a transmission media. Due to the high complexity of a theoretical statement of the problem, the experimental method appeared to be the most suitable for tackling it. A series of measurements was then carried out and a testing link was put into service. The measurement results and the recording of the most interesting transmission parameters are shown in the Paper.
