Abstract
The Social Programming methodology is based on
combining the Particle Swarm methodology with The Group
Method of Data Handling and Cartesian Programming. In
this paper the performance of the Social Programming
methodology is compared with results published in the
literature for a well know benchmark function. The
results from Social Programming were competitive with
methods recently proposed in the literature.
