Abstract
The project explores new approaches to relevance ranking in library information systems. Based on insights into the ranking of web search engines, qualityindicating factors, e. g. freshness, popularity and availability, are taken into consideration. The conceptualized methods are being implemented into a test system based on a library's search portal (EconBiz) and systematically evaluated. Ranking factors suitable to library information systems are discussed with problems and challenges pointed out. (English)
