Abstract

The paper describes a platform to evolve 3-D models of jet planes, with ideas from both GA and GP. It is meant to help in model-acquisition, generation and refinement, mainly for model-based 3-D object recognition (a computer vision problem), rather than for high-resolution computer graphics. Nevertheless, the main idea is to evolve 3-D structures suitable for graphic rendering and other uses. It has been implemented successfully in Mathematica and the paper is an abstract submitted to ACCV'93.
