Synthesis of Carboxymethyl Cellulose from Powder and Microcrystalline Cellulose in Isopropyl Alcohol and Ethanol Medium

Abstract
Synthesis conditions of different substituted water soluble carboxymethyl cellulose CMC based on microcrystalline and powder cellulose in isopropyl alcohol and ethanol medium are studied. Samples of water soluble CMC with a degree of substitution of 0.38 0.40 based on microcrystalline and powdered cellulose were obtained.
