Аннотация
The heating of conductors of overhead lines is examined for the determination of conductor temperatures
depending on current value and weather conditions. Joints are shown to be heated to a much smaller degree than
conductors, the thermal endurance of conductors being very high. A statistical analysis has shown that for large
areas the set of weather conditions, determining the heating of conductors during ~he period of maximum loads,
results in a narrow range of permissible currents. The clearance reduction has been shown to limit maximum currents
on line sections whose routes coincide with the wind direction.
