M. Rettig. Communications of the ACM, 34 (7):
19--24(July 1991)
Abstract
Adults resist explicitly addressing themselves to new learning.
Rettig shows how to overcome this problem by ``minimalism'' or by
taking documentation as part of the software product. ``Try
changing your way of thinking - see if you can design a software
product that is its own documentation". Rettig recommends a
couple of books about documentation writing.
