Abstract
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system, which leads to significant im-pairment of motor abilities. The Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) is the frequently rating scale used to estimate the clinical status of MS-patient. Different studies, which analysed the gait parameters individually, have shown correlations between EDSS and gait parameters. Therefore, the degree of gait impairment can be considered as an indicator for the actual state of the disease. Nevertheless, the EDSS is evaluated subjectively by the doctor. Thus, the aim Aim of this study is to extend the analysis by considering different activity parameters in order to improve the evaluation of the EDSS.
