Abstract
The term Intelligent Environments (IEs) refers to physical spaces in which IT and other pervasive computing technologies are combined and used to achieve specific goals for the user, the environment, or both. The ultimate objective of IEs is to enrich user experience, improve management of the environment in question and increase user awareness. This book presents the proceedings of the workshops, which formed part of the 12th International Conference on Intelligent Environments (IE16), held in London, UK, in September 2016.
