The article is devoted to the study of the political image of Vladimir Putin in Mongolia. The authors identify objective and subjective factors influencing the perception of the Russian president in Mongolian society. The interest in Putin's personality is due both to the significance of Russian-Mongolian relations and to the specific features of the Mongolian internal political process. Due to the diversity of the political and ideological preferences of the Mongols, Putin's political image is ambivalent, depending on the motivations and preferences of the audience.
